"Up" I A design intervention

"Up" is a design intervention that encourage office workers to get up and out of their seats. Today’s office environment neglect the importance of physical activity, social interactions, and connections to the outdoors. The gardens’ placement on the roof forces people to take the stairs "up". 

The main touchpoint is a plant notifier, which sits on each employee’s desk. The notifier connects to a plant pot on the roof and provides regular updates on the plant’s health based on soil moisture data. When the plant needs tending to, it notifies the office worker, breaking routine in their day causing them to go up to the roof.
